The item for sale is a Savage 99 Model EG chambered for the 300 Savage cartridge. This is a very high condition Savage 99. Judging from the serial number it was produced in 1953. Finding guns in this great condition happens rarely. The original factory blue rates 98-99% showing no signs of use or wear. There is only extremely light wear on the edge of the butt plate from sitting in a gun cabinet. The stock and forearm likewise are 98-99% showing no signs of use or wear. The checking is also of matching condition. The rifle we assume has been fired, but again shows no signs of being carried or used. The bore is excellent. This would be a nice addition to any Savage collection. Please include $45 for shipping and insurance. A FFL is required prior to shipping.
