Payment Types Accepted: Money Order, Check Certified Description: The item for sale is a Savage Model 1899 rifle chambered for the 30-30 cartridge. This is an early 1899 A model produced in 1908. This has a perch belly stock found on the early 1899's. Savage 1899 production favored their 303 Savage caliber. The 30-30 caliber was their second best seller in the early days. However, finding any early 1899 in a caliber other than the 303 is a collector's treat. This example is in very good condition. The original fire blue used on the early guns is 90% plus. The stock and forearm are in very good condition without cracks or repairs. The barrel has some light corrosion mark's along the forearm obviously from years of handling. There are still bright case colors on the lever. Early 1899's in this condition are getting harder to find. Please include $45 for shipping and insurance. A copy of a FFL or C&R is required prior to shipping.
