Description:
This is a Parker 12 gauge, serial # 46760, made in 1885. I purchased the gun I believe in 2008. It has briley tubes installed which make it effectively a 20 guage shotgun. This allows it to shoot modern 20 gauge ammo. Included with the gun will be the tube knocker that allows you to remove the tubes if you desire, along with the letter from the man who sold the gun to me. I have never removed the tubes. Among other things, the letter informed me to keep the loads light, which I have always done. I have taken the gun squirrel hunting several times, and it is alot of fun to shoot.

The pictures are taken in an attempt to show the condition of the gun to the best of my ability. The shotgun has several great features, including 28 inch damascus barrels, strong hammers and an excellent action. The tubes are bright a clean, which does not show up in the photos as I had hoped. Overall, the gun is fine shape. The are two issues I should disclose: 1. The triggerguard has been damaged at some point, and a small amount of metal was removed from the guard in an attempt to correct the flaw (see image 7.)  2. The stock has been damaged at some point and a repair attempt was made, see (image 8 just behind the lockplate.) Neither issues greatly detract from the gun in my opinion. I believe the grade of the gun is 0, which was the lowest Parker grade that featured engraving. This was a solid working gun of the old west period that is now scarce in shooting condition.
