The Officers Model Match has a six inch heavy barrel with ramped front sight and was the final and best iteration of the Officers Model target sighted revolver line. It was introduced in 1953 and discontinued in 1960. It was made in .22 LR and .38 Special with the .22LR version being the more difficult to find and the most desirable. this example shows little use and retains nearly all the blue with only the slightest of wear at the muzzle and only a hint of a cylinder line. It has the early mottled red "Coltwood" grips that were a holdover from the earlier models. The front of the cylinder shows most of the blue indicating that this example was shot very little. Tight, beautiful hand tuned/fitted action, minty bore, these had the same hand fitted action as the Python. It would be hard to find a finer .22 LR revolver. Too expensive to produce today.
