US WWII M1 carbine. Barrel is dated 1943. Serial number 2825346. Receiver has a flaming bomb behind rear sight. Stock has correct high wood for period. It has a sharp, correct, inspectors cartouche and is marked P-U in sling well. Sling well on opposite side has an unusual cut; we are not sure what it's for. Bore is excellent. A desirable M1 Carbine.
