Sauer & Sohn: A Boxlock Drilling 12 x 12 x 30-06 Model 3000 Made in 1970 with 25" Krupp Special Laufstahl steel barrels with a rib extension cross bolt, .718 .015 & .035" (Mod. & Full), 2 3/4" chambers, Original factory claw mounts mounted with a Kahles 3 x 9 scope with a duplex reticle, Top tang rifle barrel selector that actuates a fold-up rear sight, Front trigger is for the rifle barrel and it is a set trigger, Side clip action body, Scalloped action body, Cocking indicators, Steel trigger guard, 14 13/16 x 1 3/4 x 3 1/4" over a 7/8" leather faced pad, The 3 1/4" is at the heel and it is 2 1/4" at the slight monte carlo comb, 7 lbs. 13 oz. and 9 lbs. with the scope, Locking screws on key screws, Beavertail forend, European cheekpiece, Point pattern checkering, Sling swivels, 40% coverage of factory scroll engraving, This piece is totally original except for the pad, 98% barrel blue, 94% receiver finish, 94% wood finish with light handling marks only, The checkering at 100%, All the bores remain in excellent plus condition. This piece was imported by Weatherby and is marked "Weatherby Inc., South Gate, Calif.
