Here we present an antique Richardson Sidehammer Boxlock Percussion Pistol, made circa 1850 and likely made in Cork, England. This little self-defense pistol would have been most at home in the pocket of anyone in the busy cities of London or Paris during the tumultuous 1800s. This pistol is small, light and simple. Its mechanism is completely housed within and it has a captive steel ramrod built in underneath, so that it would not be lost—a neat feature! The overall condition is very good. The action is strong and tight! The bore is in good shape. Sharp checkering remains on the handle. Well-defined engravings adorn the frame, hammer, and trigger guard. “RICHARDSON” Is engraved a top the barrel. Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.
