SOLD ! ---------SALE PENDING _ Other than a few handling marks and very good but not exceptional case color this would be a top dollar collectors Dream. This piece never was made with optics. Standard grade wood with shadow cheek piece, in typical Germanic style of the period. Cal. is of course 7x 57. Butter knife bolt – half oct - half round bbl with matted top flat rib. Duplex rear sight and Greener safety. Checkering is multipoint and fine. The trigger guard butt cap and but plate are all genuine horn. The butt is start carved and the butt plate is awesome basket weave checkered patterns that must have taken many days to hand carve! I have owned dozens of mausers wih Horn buttplates with som sort of design - I have seen hundreds - BUT the one on MY piece is the ONLY intricate basket weave genuine buffalo horn engraved example i have ever seen! A "one of a kind" - Set triggers work flawlessly. Floor plate is game scene engraved ( case has faded ) and bullet trap also game scene engraved with good case left. Original blue is about 100% Bore is pristine. Sling swivels. Hard to find in this condition. 3 day inspection.
