SOLD - DELIVERED! --Not to be confused with a standard deluxe 'Sako Finnbear' stock – It started life as a deluxe Sako FINN BEAR - but the rest is some of the best German custom work of its era. .This is an early ( 50s -60s) piece In most respects the action and optics could be comparted in quality to a Weatheby CROWN GRADE! The level of hand done engraving definitely exceeds the Japan made Crowns I have owned ( all priced at about $12000 without optics) There is a MINIMUM $3000 worth of fine hand engraving. The receiver is 100% covered in deep cut coin finish art. The floorplate – the trigger guard and the bullet trap are ALL engraved in coin finish – ALL with superb game scenes. The barrel has about 40% engraving inc the muzzle. The attractive blonde stock has the standard skip-line multipoint checkering of a Deluxe grade Sako. Aloso something are for a factory Sako Stock - a ROLE OVER chiek piece! The optics are the best KAHLES WIEN – Helis 3x9 S2 Claw Mt.- a $1500 add-on. Has ‘T’ crosshair reticule. Top of rt tang safety. Rollover cheek piece – sling swivel eyes and cross bolt brace for mag cals. Bolt and extractor are jeweled and the pad is a quality 'Decellerator'.I know it was all done in by German craftsmen because the caliber designation stamped on the barrel is in German. '. The entire gun is in Bristol condition. It would cost a fortune to build tis fine piece today. It appears to never have been in the field.
