Description:
"

This is a flintlock Model 1819 that was arsenal-altered to percussion. The 32 5/8"" round 52 caliber barrel has a dark bore with strong rifling. As is correct, the rifling stops about 1.5"" short of the muzzle. All the metal is brown with even pitting. The breechblock is marked J.H. HALL/H. FERRY/US/1834. The stock is good with numerous storage/use dents and dings. The swivels and ramrod are present. The action functions correctly with the exception that half cock is weak. This is a representative Hall percussion alteration musket that has suffered from poor storage. It is priced accordingly.
