Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you a "Gorgeous" Steve Huff Engraved Colt Government MK IV 70 Series 1911 Semi Automatic Pistol chambered in .45 ACP.
The serial number on the pistol is 70G94811 which tells us it was manufactured 46 years ago in 1975. It has very intricate and exquisite floral designed engraving as you can see and is signed under the right grip panel; S. HUFF. Keeping with the original finish, the top and bottom of the slide feature a matte finish, with the sides featuring a high luster bluing. The pistol has been stored in a custom case as shown with a slot for two extra magazines and eight rounds of ammunition. The pistol is in excellent condition with a few very minor surface marks from storage. The right side of the slide is marked “COLTS GOVERNMENT MODEL”. The right side of the frame is marked “COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.” and “70G94811 ”. The right side of the trigger guard bow is marked “L”. The left side of the slide is marked “COLT’S MK IV / SERIES ’70 / GOVERNMENT MODEL / 45 AUTOMATIC CALIBER”. The barrel is marked “CAL. .45 AUTO / MK IV/Series 70. The pistol will ship with one original magazine in the fitted hard case.
