<<<SOLD>>>>A very fine condition rare Pirrsburgh, Penn maker of Whitmore, Wolff, & Duff Co.Whitmore, Wolff, & Duff Co.with a 32" long medium heavy octagonal barrel of about .36 cal rifled bore.with exterior metal with brown patina. The American walnut stock is excpetional with what appears to be original very fine finish with a pewter nose cap. Hand chisel engraved lock-pate and hammer are clearly marked, and the back action lock works very well as does the set triggers. The rear trigger like most 19th century set trigger guns is set, then the hammer pulled back to lock and the front thinner trigger releases the hammer. Has a front silver blade sight , and the rear sight is rocky mountain original sight. Top of barrel is marked N.B. TYLER, and the furniture is brass. A very fine , not over used or abused original Plains Rifle of Pittsburgh maker.. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
