Excellent condition Pre War Winchester Model 12 Skeet Grade in ultra rare 28 gauge! S/N 749269 made in 1937. 98% Blue, 97% Varnish. Most desirable 26" Solid Rib barrel choked SKEET. 2 7/8" chamber.
Receiver is marked SKEET. Front magazine tube clamp is stamped "20" which occured frequently on original 28 gauges. I have carefully examined all of the internal and external components unique to genuine 28 gauge Model 12s, along with the various metal stampings and all appear positively correct and uncontrived. Special features of the 28 gauges included unique shell cut off (factory stamped "28"), high walled and differently shaped magazine follower, back of receiver stamped "28", bottom of magazine tube has different crimp than all other gauges. This shotgun is the real deal and one of the few chances you will ever have to add one of these to your collection!
