Description:
Beautiful and near mint Merkel 28ga 147EL 28ga. This gun is beautifully engraved and coin finished. Made with 26-3/4" barrels, splinter forend, double triggers, and straight grip butt with black pad. The wood is beautifully figured straight grained European walnut. Engraved with quail in game scenes on both sides in fine relief pattern. Housed in its original green Emmebi case with leather straps and brass furniture.
This gun remains in near mint original condition having been very sparingly used - perhaps 1 trip to the range. The gun retains virtually all of its original finish to both wood and metal surfaces. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are brilliant and shiny. The case is excellent with some rub marks on the exterior and excellent overall inside.
