Remington Hepburn Single Shot Target and Hunting Rifle in Caliber 38-40 Remington Hepburn. 28" Heavy Octagon Barrel with Standard Iron Sights, Checkered Pistol Grip Stock with heavy Brass Swiss Buttplate. Overall Condition Grades to NRA Antique Fine+ to Excellent with 80% original case colors remaining on the frame which range from moderate to strong in levels of vividness. The barrel has 85% original blue remaining. Breech block and Hammer show 95% strong bright blue. Action works nicely. The bore is Excellent...bright with strong lands and grooves with no pitting, rings, bulges, or bad spots. The wood is in Excellent Condition overall retaining 90% of its original varnish. Forend has ebony insert at the tip. There is a brass plug at the bottom of the forend, possibly from where a ball rest was once used for target shooting. There are no chips, cracks, or repairs. Barrel is marked REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION. NY. Antique, Pre-1898 Production. No FFL required. Buyer must be of legal age and a law-abiding citizen. No sales to NYC, Chicago, DC.
