"Pattern 1793 Brown Bess Musket by Ketland & Co. Barrel is 39" and unit marked “92". Finish on the barrel has a brown patina. Lock plate has been lightly cleaned some time ago. Stamps are strong and crisp. Forward of the hammer are crown over “G.R.". Behind the hammer is Ketland & Co. Stock is good shows handling wear, a crack is noted from the nose cap to the sling swivel right side. Overall a great looking commercial Brown Bess that is unit marked.
