It is either the first one made or it was an experimental or prototype revolver. It is a 6-shot 32 RF. Produced by or in conjunction with the Brooklyn Arms Co. Very short production run. As short as a year possibly in 1863, possibly 1864. This of course was during the height of the Civil War and most of the materials and labor was going towards the war effort. This is a small pocket pistol variety with 3 inch barrel and brass frame with scroll engraving. Barrel is pretty much a silver color with age spots. Frame is very nice condition with nice smooth metal. Action indexes and works nicely. Grips are all there with a few scratches but no losses of wood. Unique looking gun with the 6-shot cylinder. Cylinder looks over sized. This would have been a quite formidable carry gun in the Civil War days. Never have seen one before and I probably never will. If you are looking for rare this would be a great choice. Leroy Merz Antique Firearms specializes in antique and vintage Winchesters and other fine American firearms.
