Description:
This is a S&W model 29 that Clint Eastwood made famous in the 1971 thriller DIRTY HARRY. The model 29 Smith chambers the potent 44 magnum round, which at the time was the most powerfull handgun manufactured. There were three 6 1/2" and one  8 3/8" 29' used for filming. This particular model 29 is a 6 1/2" with a factory mahogany display, case that was assembled and sold in 1959.. This one is refered to as a Model 29 NO-DASH, as it was built shortly after the first production change, when the 5th screw was eliminated on the right side plate, therefore resulting in these being refered to as a 4 screw design. This gun is just past the pre-29 S/N range, that ran up to S184000, with ithis one being S/N of S196353. This handgun has been shot, but remains in fantastic condition for 60+ years old. All the original blue surfaces are in as new condition, with no dulling, scratches or carry wear, and only a slight turn ring on the cylinder. She has the beautiful dark Goncalo Alves diamond grips, that are in mint condition, and fhe wide target hammer and trigger that came factory on this gun. The display case is in great shape, with only a small amount of loss to the blue felt liner. It has the factory cleaning tools in the case as well.
I prefer payment be Postal Money Order unless otherwise agreed.
