"Smith & Wesson World War II revolver in 38 S&W caliber. The top strap is marked" United States Property". These S&W revolvers were known as “Victory “models as many were given to England to supply the country with weapons for potential invasion . They were marked with a V prefix. This example has no prefix. Many of this model were issued to defense plant guards and other security installations. The bore is excellent and the action and it operates smoothly and indexes and locks up perfectly. There is an inspectors initials WBC stamped in the bottom of the butt st the lanyard swivel.Thegrips are excellent . Barrel is marked .38S&W ctg.Barrel address and markings are all sharp and clear. This revolver retains 98% of it’s miliitary finish.
