Rare Japanese Colonial sword issued to Japanese civil officers of the Colonial Government of Taiwan. This pattern of sword began being issued in 1899. This particular sword was issued to Hannin level officials and features a double triangle emblem on the backstrap side ears. The blade is in excellent condition with an etched hamon and groove.
