The finely-crafted Model 547 Custom Classic Rimfire rifle is one of the bestlooking, best-performing bolt action rimfire rifles ever produced. Based on the Model 504™ platform, the Model 547 is the end result of engineering redesign combined with premium components and subtle refinements to produce a rifle that carries an unparalleled accuracy guarantee. The Model 547 is masterfully-crafted in the Remington Custom Shop .
Based on the Model 504 rimfire design, the Model 547 has many detailed features that enhance its performance - a receiver machined from a solid bar of steel with a rear lock-up design; positive bedded action with twin takedown screws; dual extractors for positive feeding; and advanced barrel clamp design that provides a strong action-to-barrel union. The Model 547 design has been enhanced with a reconfigured bolt handle that mirrors the look and feel of the world’s most popular bolt-action centerfire rifle - the Model 700™. This one-piece bolt handle and cocking piece are now integrated for enhanced strength. All triggers are hand tuned by our expert gunsmiths and set at a crisp three pounds. The flush mount, metal magazine box is extremely durable and will provide a lifetime of use.
These stress-relieved, hand-lapped carbon steel barrels start with a high-precision chamber and finish out with a concave “dish” crown that protects the high grade rifling from damage. Attention to fit-and-finish details and use of these competition-quality barrels allow Remington to guarantee sub-inch, five-shot group accuracy at 100 yards. Each Model 547 is accuracy tested in the stock, just as the end-user will receive the gun, not in a slave fixture as most standard accuracy tests are performed by other manufacturers; and our gallery test target is included with each rifle.
The redesigned, fine-quality walnut stock mirrors the classic lines of the Model 700 CDL™ with a straight comb; elegant black grip cap and fore-end tip; and traditional cut-checkering on the pistol grip and fore-end. The attractive satin finish on the stock is complemented by a high-polish, “buffed” blued finish on the receiver andbarrel. Your Model 547 comes furnished with an attractive hard case and our guarantee of accuracy.
