Description:
"Made in late 1870s- to early 1880s. 45-70 caliber with a 28in barrel. The metal of this gun is nice and sharp with blue in protected areas, but the metal is mostly a light brown to gray patina. The wood is good with a minor crack on the left hand side of the wrist and a chip on the left hand side of the forearm. There is a repair to the right hand side of the magazine where a rectangular piece of wood was cut out and a piece of metal was attached to repair the magazine. The bore is very fine as it is bright and shiny with just the slightest bit of corrosion. This is a very rare gun with roughly only 1500 of these rifles made.
