Description:
This is a very fine example of a New Haven Arms Company Volcanic Pocket Pistol that has been engraved at the factory. 4 inch barrel chambered in 31 caliber with a nice bright shiny bore and strong rifling. About half of the original bright polish blue remains on the barrel/magazine with the balance a grey patina in the thinning areas. Sharp edges to the barrel as well as crisp address markings. Strong high polish blue on the lifter, bolt, rear sight and trigger spring. Traces of muted case colors on the hammer. Untouched brass frame looks fantastic with crisp engraving. Original numbered to the gun walnut grips are excellent and retain most all of their varnish. This is a real time capsule and outstanding example of a scarce Volcanic Pocket Pistol. This fine pistol is also pictured on page 73 of "Volcanic Firearms" by Edmund Lewis & Stephen Rutter. A centerpiece to any gun collection!
