Listing another Winchester 1892 saddle ring carbine, chambered in the 25/20, serial number 877236, makes it a year of Mfg 1919, only 102 , qualifies for C&R shipping. This used carbine has the three leaf express rear sight plus a Lyman Tang peep sight. Those go for over $100. easily. Has some blue but mostly worn away as the wood is worn also. Gum wood was used, the outer part of the tree, the cheaper part , they were always cutting corners. These are getting scarce as well. Fun to shoot , you's heard of the Jordan Buck ? Killed up near Danbury, Wis in I think 1914. Was gut shot with a 25/20 rifle. Wouldn't recommend it but back in the day you used what one had. Was the world record Whitetail for many years . the bores a bit dark but has rifle , cycles and shoots fine. Doubt one will be shooting this gal long distance anyway. A true ranch rifle that one can still enjoy. I believe these saddle rings were made up into 1926, then the cowboys were using Model A's , so I've been told.I'll shipped it to your C&R or a FFL , you can look it over and if your not satisfied send it back, I'll refund your payment less shipping & insurance.
