<<<SOLD>>> A very clean and rare Original U.S. Springfield Trapdoor Model 1884 Cadet Rifle, with an 1890 dated cartouche' and a 29 1/2" barrel, with a clean rifled bore with some roughness down in the grooves from black powdr shells. Exterior metal is turning brown but is smooth and not rusted or pitted. Action locks up tight. Has the correct 1884 Buffington rear sight, and stacking swivels for the front barrel band. Stock apperas to have it's original finish and has good natural coloring of American walnt hardwood. An excellent example of a low production 1884 cadet rifle where only 20,00 were made. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
