Description:
Very nice Italian Zoli Verona LX980 12 gauge over/under shotgun with 32" barrels. The gun has an adjustable stock and trigger.
If you are not familiar with the Zoli Verona LX980, this gun is essentially identical to the gun that Zoli sells now as the Kronos, except the Verona's have much nicer wood than the Kronos. The wood on this gun could only be found on Ambassador level Zolis now. This gun has features like a drop out trigger group and boss type locking system that are only found on other really expensive guns like the Perazzis and Krieghoffs. The stock features an adjustable comb, and the trigger is also adjustable to change LOP. LOP with the tirgger in the current position is around 14 5/8". A sporting style Kick Eez recoil pad is installed. The stock has some off cast for right handed shooters and some right hand palm swell. The gun has a wide 11 mm anti-glare rib and fiber optic front sight. The gun has 2 3/4" chambers with very little wear, and ejectors. 32" ported barrels are silver soldered.
This kit has everything you need to destroy clay targets except the ammo. There are 2 sets of chokes. One set is a flush mount Zoli choke set that has 5 chokes to include: Cylinder, Skeet, 2 Improved Modified, and Full. There is also a set of 5 Trulock extended chokes to include: Skeet 1, Improved Cylinder, Skeet 2 (like a Light Modified), Improved Modified, and Full. The gun comes in a nice SKB padded case. Choke tube wrenches, and wrenches to adjust the stock and trigger are included.
The gun was sent back to Zoli USA for routine maintenance at the beginning of 2020 where springs, pins, etc. were replaced. The locking block was also replaced and the locking lever is far to the right. The gun locks up tightly. The gun has been shot very little since this service. A small chip of wood was repaired on the forend on the right side, barely visible in the photos.
