Description:
Here is a beautful, all-original and minty Winchester Model 1300 Ranger 12 gauge shotgun manufactured in 1989. This 1300 Ranger has obviously spent it's entire life in storage, appearing to never have been loaded, fired, or carried afield.  This pump-action repeating shotgun features a 28" inch ventilated rib barrel with a 3 " inch chamber and threaded for the Winchoke system choke tubes, a factory gloss blue finish on the steel parts, a gloss black finished alloy receiver, a silver finished bolt, and a walnut-finished hardwood pistol-grip stock set with a grooved forearm and a factory-installed recoil pad.  Manufactured in the United States from 1983 until 2004 at the firm's New Haven factory, the Winchester Model 1300 Ranger was Winchester's low-cost utilitarian pump shotgun.  It quickly earned a reputation for being very well-made and reliable despite it's relatively cheap price tag, and was a huge success for the company, leading them to offer numerous variations of the Model 1300 during the production run.  This particular Model 1300 Ranger is in minty condition inside and out.  The factory gloss blue finish on the barrel and magazine tube rate 98%, with the only deduction coming from some extremely minor and light wear on the action bars and magazine tube under the forearm from the action being worked.  Even the less-durable factory black finish on the receiver rates 99% plus, in like-new condition.  The bore in this shotgun is flat mint and mirror bright, and the silver bolt is spotless (including the bolt face).  As you can see from the pictures this shotgun doesn't even appear to have been loaded previously, as the bottom of the lifter is pristine with no tell-tale stripe that occurs from the rim of a shotshell rubbing on it when loaded into the magazine. The stock set is just as pristine as the rest of the gun, free from any wear, damage, scratches, dings, or repairs.  The wood is bright and clean, the grooves in the forearm are crisp and sharp, and the factory installed recoil pad is in excellent shape and tight to the wood.  The action on this Winchester 1300 Ranger is precise and smooth, and locks in and out of battery with no grit or slop.  All of the controls are in perfect working order including the safety and bolt release.  This Winchester could pass as having left the factory last week rather than 32 years ago!  If you have been looking for a minty all-original Winchester Model 1300 for your collection this 1989 production Ranger would be an excellent choice.  It would be nearly impossible to upgrade from this beautiful gun.
