Description:
Serial # 18673. 44 cal., 8 inch part round bbl, blue/casehardened finish, walnut grips. Only an estimated 200 U.S. 8 inch Dragoons ever to be produced. Near excellent. The barrel retains 90% strong blue finish, as well as the cylinder with full cylinder scene. The percussion nipples show minimal wear and cylinder safety pins are excellent and way above average condition. The hammer and frame have 70 % color case with loading lever thinning. The grips are oil finished and are excellent, as well. Bore is sharp with slight pitting. Flash pitting in back of cylinder hammer slot and recoil sheild. A definite must have for the serious colt collector! Flayderman's Guide 9th edition shows the value at $ 37,500.00 fine condition. Possible trade on Henry Rifle.
