#96913, Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 in 270 Winchester Made in 1948, 24" barrel, The rear sight removed, Early style machined integral front ramp, Factory front sight hood, Standard 3 position safety, Standard Model 70 hinged floorplate, Straight comb stock, Standard point pattern checkering, Sling swivels, 13 11/16" LOP over the factory checkered buttplate, 8 lbs. 1 oz., The original barrel blue is 96%, The receiver blue is 97%, The floorplate & trigger guard is 90%, The bolt knob is 70%, The original wood finish at 88% with scattered handling marks, The checkering is 99%, The bore is absolutely excellent. It was hauled around some, but I don't believe it was ever shot a great deal. A nice example of a late 40's Pre-64 Model 70.
