"Dated what appears to be 1837. 54 caliber with a 8 ½" barrel. The metal has been cleaned and has a light gray patina. There are small spots of pitting throughout. Wood is very good. Action works well. This gun is original flintlock. A lot these guns remained in unissued condition, but this gun appears to have been issued and used.
