MODEL 64 DELUXE RIFLE IN .32WS CALIBER, $1468XXX, MADE 1947. This is a nice example that still retains the original (and hard to replace) super grade sling swivels. The overall receiver, barrel and magazine retain most of the blue that shows some light dulling from age. I believe this one has been in storage for many years as there is old dust and dried grease in areas that has never been cleaned The wood is excellent with sharp checkering and retains the correct Winchester embossed grip cap. Inletted in the top of the stock just ahead of the butt plate is a very small functioning compass that could easily be removed and filled or left in place from a time when GPS didn't exist and hunters relied on their wits! Has the original checkered steel shotgun butt plate and is fitted with a correct receiver sight with eyepiece that is adjustable for windage and elevation. A handsome early post-war deluxe Winchester.
