Description:
L.C.Smith "O" grade 16 gauge ejector. Built in 1909,this gun has a great set of 26" damascus barrels choked cylinder (.000) and improved cylinder (.008"). The barrels are original length and have mint bores. The receiver still retains around 40% of the case colors and the barrels retain 90% of the damascus pattern. The barrels have excellent wall thickness with over .070" in front of the chambers and a minimum thickness of .030" at the muzzles. The pistol grip stock is sound with no cracks or damage. The stock retains 80% of the original finish. Stock dimensions are 131/2"LOP,13/4" at comb, and 23/4" at heel. The barrels are tight on face with no play and the top lever is still to the right indicating that the gun has not been shot a great deal. The ejectors are timed and work well. Ejector O grades are hard to find as this was an extra cost option on an entry level gun. This would make a great gun for preserve quail or for the grouse and woodcock coverts. C&R eligible.
