Description:
This is the best Yugoslovian Zastava Model 59/66 SKS we have seen in years, appearing unfired and still in the original cosmoline!  This near-pristine Yugo SKS comes comeplete with an original ammo pouch, tool kit, cleaning pull-thru, and even the original sling (all still packed into the ammo pouch).  Bought newly imported by the original owner more than 20 years ago, this SKS was put into storage as you see it now, never once fired or stripped of the Yugoslovian cosmoline.  It is an all-matching, 100% original gun, just as it left the factory when it was built new in 1971, determined by the prefix letter of the serial number which is "H".  The Zastava M59/66 was the Yugoslovian Military's updated version of their original Model 59 SKS, which was a direct copy of the Russian SKS.  The M59/66 had all of the original SKS features such as the folding blade-bayonet and fixed 10-round internal magazine (loaded with stripper clips) but added flip-up front and rear luminous "night sights" behind the normal iron sights, a flip-up grenade launching sight behind the front sight, a gas system cut-off switch for launching grenades (located at front of gas tube), and a muzzle device that served as both a muzzle brake and grenade launching base.  This SKS proved to be an excellent weapon and served in various degrees up into the 1980's.  As mentioned earlier, this particular example is as good as it gets in pristine condition.  Everything rates 98% plus and the rifle is 100% fully-functional.  All of the numbered parts match with original factory stampings.  There are no force-matched parts or rework marks on this Yugo SKS, and the only non-factory mark on the gun is the PW Arms import mark on the left side of the receiver below the top cover which has been required by law since 1968.  If you are looking for the very best example of a Yugo Model 59/66 SKS you can find in existence this is it!  It would be impossible to upgrade from this beauty.  This Zastava Model 59/66 IS C&R eligible.
