Description:
This is a beautiful Uberti Stoeger Italian-made copy of the Winchester 1873 called the Winchester 1873 Short Rifle. This 1873 features a short and handy 20" inch octagon barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with a 10-round tubular magazine mounted under the barrel. This very handsome short rifle has beautiful factory finishes on the metal parts consisting of a color case-hardened frame, hammer, and trigger mated to a bright gloss-blue finished barrel, magazine tube, loading gate, crescent butt plate, forend cap, and dust/top cover. All of the screws in the action are bright glossy blue as well. The factory stock set compliments the gun very well with a red-brown smooth Walnut forearm and buttstock finished with a glossy clearcoat. Just like the original, the cartridge lifter in the action is solid brass. While this Uberti is lightly-used, it has been well cared for. All of the finishes are still in excellent condition, rating 97 to 98% with only a few tiny handling marks as deductions. The bore is mirror-bright and pristine with like-new sharp rifling throughout the barrel. The stock set is equally as clean and nice, showing only some very minor handling marks/dings in either part. As you can see from the pictures, there are no eyesores or bad spots on this short rifle, and none of the minor handling marks detract much from the exceptionally clean overall look of the rifle. The action on this Uberti is smooth, precise, and in perfect working order. All of the controls are 100% functional, just like the day it originally left the factory. It comes complete with the original box with an intact end-label (serial-numbered to the rifle), the owner's manual, several Uberti pamphlets, the clear plastic shipping bag, and all of the cardboard box inserts it originally shipped with. This Uberti copy of the Winchester Model 1873 Short Rifle would be an excellent addition to any collection, whether you are a Cowboy Action Shooter or just someone who appreciates the true American classics.
