This 22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle takedown Remington No. 4 rifle was made toward the end of production in 1933. It has a 22.5"" round barrel with a good bore with strong rifling but with areas of erosion. All the metal is a smooth blue/brown. The stock is very good with a small repair at the upper tang and a small dent on the forearm left at the barrel. The action functions correctly. Screw release takedown rifles like this one were made starting approx. 1924 and round barrel rifles were made in the last few years of production. This is a nice representative example of a late takedown Model No. 4 with the round barrel.
