German Side Arm During WORLD WAR II
Here we present a Hungarian Femaru Model 37 Semi-Automatic pistol manufactured circa 1941 in Cespel, which is now part of Budapest. The FÉG Model 37 is a Hungarian semi-auto based on a design by Rudolf Frommer. Fegyver- és Gépgyártó Részvénytársaság meaning "Arms and Machine Manufacturing Company", known as FÉG, is a Hungarian industrial conglomerate founded on February 24, 1891. Just prior to World War II in 1935 it was renamed to Fémáru, Fegyver- és Gépgyár, or "Metalware, Arms and Machine Factory". With a production run between 1937 and 1944, it is estimated that between 175,000 and 300,000 is these little semi-autos were produced. They were used by Nazi Germany and Hungary during World War II.
The overall condition is very good. The action is strong all around. The bore is bright. Both grips are firm. Here is an interesting piece of WWII era history to collect and display!
