Description:
This is an antique Winchester Model 1886 made in 1898. The 26 inch octagon barrel is oxidized and very lightly pitted, but has strong rifling and is in good shooting condition. The gun has been refinished and some light pitting remains. Mostly on the left side of the receiver, probably from being carried in a sweaty scabbard on a horse. Everything appears to be original and it is in good operating condition and functions as designed. It weighs 8 pounds and 11.4 ounces. It is an antique, so no paperwork is required.
