All matching numbers to include the grips, magazine and loading tool. The year 1920 has been stamped above the 1916 on the breech. So this gun is a 1920 rework for Police issue. The number 1 has been stamped on the magazine base as well. You can't tell from the picture, but the ejector has lovely straw color, as it is protected from wear. Lots of nice straw on the back of the mag release button as well. The walnut grips are very clean, properly stamped, but I'm thinking they were put on the gun at the time of the rework. The holster that came in with it is a police holster and number matched to the gun. One loop on the back has been replaced, the number 2979 stamped next to it, obviously a period stamping. There is no pull strap. Letters HS carved into the back of the holster. I see no maker's stamp or year. It has a lot of wear, but is not fragile. The gun itself has a minty bright oiled bore and cycles smoothly. So- somehow thru WW1 and into the rework cycle this all matching Luger and its numbered loading tool stayed together and was reworked and reissued after the war. It became a police pistol and who knows what the story is after that. Assumedly then it was captured during WW2 and brought here to the States. $40 shipping to the lower 48, 3% surcharge for using a CC.
