SUPERIOR RUSSO-JAPANESE WW1 and WW2 JAPANESE TYPE 26 REVOLVER WITH HOLSTER. 9mm Japanese caliber. Double action only. Koishikawa Arsenal production serial number in the 27,xxx range and all original. 98% original bright blue finish with little evidence of wear. Left side of frame with light flaking with balance of blue very bright. Checkered wood grips in mint condition. Perfect working order. Mint bore and chambers that look unfired. Original holster in excellent condition with Kanji on inside flap. Japanese acceptance stamps on butt around lanyard ring crisp. These revolvers saw action during the Russo-Japanese War, WW1 and WW2. This was the officer's sidearm that was replaced by the Nambu. In turn it was adopted to replace the Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 revolvers contract.
