The Savage 99 Centennial Edition was limited to only 1000 rifles manufactured between 1996-1997 and has been considered by many as the most attractive of the 99s. This rifle is new never been fired. It comes in a walnut presentation case with centennial plaque, padded and lined with green velvet in very good condition showing only a few scratches and handling marks. The 99CE has a gold trigger, top tang safety and elegantly engraved receiver featuring beautiful 24k gold plated figures (mountain lion on the right, elk on the left). A Monte Carlo sytle stock with a high gloss finish, rifle recoil pad and nickel plated swivel studs adds a classic look to this vintage design. Cut checkering with a wrap around pattern on the forend enhances the select American walnut stock. Drilled and tapped for scope mounts the 99CE also has adjustable metal sights and an engraved detachable box-type magazine.
