Description:
This is a scarce box of Winchester .45-70 cartridges labeled “Government Standard For Target Use" with italic bullet and powder call outs in the hard to find 405 bullet weight (see Giles & Shuey p92). The box is in very good plus condition with excellent labels and nice woodcut, solid box top portion with a bottom that has separated and is very repairable. The cartridges are in near excellent condition with some having light corrosion speckles mid-case and are headstamped “W.R.A. 45-70".
