Listing one of my Savage 1899 takedown rifles, chambered in the not real common 22 Hi-Power. serial number 126538, yup a early one, 1913, caliber came out in 1912, a real varmint cartridge at that time , 2800 FPS compared to rounds of the day it was awesome. They've a 1-12 twist so will spin a bullet .I shoot 70 grain. Charles Newton came up with it and Savage seemed to be ahead of the pack in certain areas marketed it in the 1899 rifle. Popular today in the U.K. known as the 5.6x52 mmR, ammo is readily available here. I'm offering with it a set of two piece Hornady dies and shell holder along with 100 rounds of loaded ammo and 100 70 Gr bullets to be loaded. The rifle sports a period K-2 Weaver scope , old school , don't let it fool you this gal's a shooter. Has a little 20" barrel and sling swivels , sure stocks been finished sometime but crack free. Only popped off forearm in the time I've owned it and numbers match. No cracks on tang which is common on these old rifles. Metal is nice as is the whole rig. I've never grown tired of owning or shooting these little rifles. Will ask $1800. with the dies and ammo shipped.$1550. just rifle.
