Description:
Here's an interesting hybrid that ought to make an outstanding shooter! This is a Smith & Wesson Model 19-2 ".357 Combat Magnum" that has been fitted with a Colt Python barrel! Variously known as a "Smython" or a "Smolt", this was a fairly popular custom conversion back in the 1970's. Built on the round butt K-frame, this revolver wears a 3-3/4" vent-rib barrel that has had the rollmarkings professionally removed. The 6-shot cylinder has "recessed" chambers and the gun has been fitted with the smooth combat trigger and has the target hammer. The rear sight is adjustable, the front sight is a custom short ramp pinned to the rib. Overall condition is excellent and the revolver retains 97-98% of the reblued finish. There is no rust or pitting. It comes with a set of checkered s&w target grips. The mechanics appear to be in perfect working order and the bore is excellent with bright, sharp rifling. This is the best of both worlds and a very expensive conversion to do , a very unique revolver .
