It is a First model Excelsior manufactured in 1858. This one is serial number 3 and is present on the frame under the left stock, under the trigger guard and various other places on the gun. Functions properly and is in fairly good mechanicql condition with tight lock up. The bore is in good condition for its age. BACON ARMS pistols aren't extremely rare but this is the third one ever made! All original parts. 4 inch ocatgonal barrel, engraved frame and cylinder scene. Comes with a period antique leather flap holster. Approximatly the size of a COLT 1849 revolver. Antique revolver, no FFL needed for most jurisdictions.
