The lock is marked 1856/ENFIELD at the center with a small crown over broad arrow to the right and crown over V.R at the tail. All the metal has a smooth gray/brown patina. The brass nosecap, triggerguard, and buttplate are good with even wear and patina. The stock is very good with no chips or cracks and light issue/use wear. It has two Enfield rondels dated 1855 on the right butt. The sling ring and bar, swivels, and captured ramrod are present The action functions correctly.
