The factory letter states that serial number 311806 was shipped to The Colt London Agency March 7 1910. It is Chambered for the 38 Colt. There were only 412 standard model Bisley's chambered for this cartridge. This is a fairly rare caliber for the single action models. This Colt has the 7 1/2 inch barrel. The hard rubber grips are serial numbered to this pistol. The grips are in very good condition showing light wear. There is no cracks or repairs to the grips. THe bore and chambers are bright with no pitting. The lands are sharp and smooth. The serial numbers are all matched on this pistol The color case finish on the frame and hammer is still present and strong in protected areas. The rest of the surface is silvery. The charcoal blue finish on the barrel and grip frame is strong showing holster wear. The blue would rate a 75% overall condition. The action has a worn first cock the other two cocks work correctly. The hammer has a nice crisp release. The English proofs are sharp and clean. This Colt shows having being well used but not abused. This pistol has a interesting history being shipped to the Colt London Agency. Most of the Colts sent to that agency were chambered for English ammunition. It is unusual to see a English Colt chambered for a American Cartridge let alone a rare loading. This Bisley should make a Colt collector proud to have in their collection for that pistols history and rare caliber. Curio&Relic CKEE F.
