This antique percussion "Boot Gun" or "Hideout Pistol" is all original and is black powder. Hidden trigger.
I'm not familiar with this piece, but can only tell you what others have said. Dates in the early 1800's. Could be a Prussian military pistol. I don't Know What Caliber It is. Seems about 50 caliber . Appears larger than .45 and smaller than .54.
