Description:
Here is an interesting Rock Island '03 rifle just bursting with curious tidbits. Lovely original stock with beautiful stamps. Serrifed P on the bottom behind the trigger guard, CN (Conrad Nelson) over 1913 is the inspector stamp on the left by the safety. Flaming bomb over N.R.A. on the trigger housing in front of the floorplate. Big seriffed S on the very front of the stock under the barrel. Barrel is stamped on top RIA over flaming bomb over 6-13. Underneath the barrel date, I mean underneath, bottom side of the barrel, is stamped C 93 over P. On the bottom of the front sight band is a B. There is a sight protector clip over the front sight blade. On the rear sight elevation blade is a clearly replaced screw that nonetheless does the job neatly. There is a cutout in the wood stock on the right side, right in front of the bolt handle. It's an old cut, maybe for a rear aperture sight? Lastly there are a few numbers very lightly etched on the left side of the rec'r forward of the safety. Bore is bright and strong, everything works as it should. Minimum shipping at this level is $55 and includes the hard case. Shipping cost could increase depending on value or weight of the firearm. For long guns less than $500, we still recommend the purchase of a hard case, again to protect your investment. These numbers are for shipping to the lower 48.
