Description:
A truly fine example of American gun making in this 1918 Baker.  Factory options included Monte Carlo Walnut, Double Ivory Beed and ejectors.
Wood is 90% with a light maring on base of Butt Stock, Fine checkered bevertail fore end all with no evident preasure marks or evidence of mishandeling in over 100 years. Water table reflects a C grade Boxlock reciever desighn with exceptional case color of which 90% is still remaining.  Engraving of reciever is 90% with almost no wear including fishtail lock release. 32" Barrel has both ivory mid and final bead, Proof indicates L grade Holland fluid steel. There is a 1/4" blu marking on left side of barrel above for end showing a color that resembles a drop of cold blu yet I find it not remarkable. A fine example of a very enjoyable American single barrel gun.
