Description:
Pedersen model 1500 O/U 12ga. This rare shotgun (Perazzi clone, and some parts interchange) is in VG condition. Refinished wood is excellent and metal is in VG condition. Barrels are 26” with shiny bores choked IC and Modified. Single trigger is non-selective and gun has automatic ejectors.
The gun balances well and a similar gun sold for $700.This is as nice an over/under as you can buy for not a lot of money, a Pederson Custom, Model 1500 in 12 gauge with 26" vent rib barrels choked Improved Cylinder/Modified, nice bright bores, has single trigger, ejectors, nice shiny bluing with a bit of light engraving, nice solid attractive wood with Schnabel forend, nicely figured buttstock with 14" LOP to HRBP. These were made between 1973 and 1975 only.

Background information on this shotgun:
Pedersen O/U Model 1500 was built in Spain by Aramberri.  The 1500 was pretty much a Perazzi copy and is the grandfather to the Kemen KM-4 as well as a dead ringer for the AYA MD-2.
The Model 1500 was made by Victor Aramberri in Eibar, Spain and employed a Boss type low profile action similar to Perazzi. The Model 1500 was offered in field, trap and skeet versions. The field models could be ordered with 26", 28" or 30" vent rib barrels. Auto ejectors and a selective single trigger (a rarity among Basque guns) were standard. These were well built guns but, never received the recognition they deserved.  The Model 1500 died with Mossberg's abortive 1973 to 1975 venture into the upmarket range of shotguns.
Aramberri's company was swallowed up by AYA in about 1980 and the gun was rebadged as the AYA MD2. The gun is a clone of the Perazzi MT-6 and some parts are interchangeable. (Victor Aramberri himself went off to the DIARM group to provide design input for the Kemen which is pretty much the same gun again but with V springs and drop out trigger).
